Gear # 6 – QUESTIONS
MAXIMUM HORSEPOWER 6
You have just been let go by your company that is telling you that you don’t have what it takes to succeed in this business. Furthermore, you don’t know what you are going to do going forward, and you start to ask the questions on what you are good at in the scheme of life.
On the drive home you ask yourself many questions like:
- Should I change my career path?
- Should I change the industry that I’m in at this time?
- What are my strengths that I bring to the table?
- Is my work ethic acceptable or do I need to work harder?
- Do I need to work harder or smarter or both?
The way you respond to the above questions and to the trauma of failure sets the road for the future. Today, many years later, on my daily commute to the office in traffic, I look back on that day. That is what drives me to be the best I can be and make sure that I’m never in the same position again.
